Hi ORCANs,

Ol' Bob Miller and myself were interviewed by the Akron Beacon Journal for an article on Pflueger's 125th anniversary. An interesting piece. Hope to get some people turned on to ORCA by it, as inquiries will include a reference to ORCA membership.

The reporter said Pflueger was the most requested article for Akron history.

Thanks for the nice words! Amazing what a little press will do. The son of one of Pflueger's most important reel designers contacted me, he has so much info on how Pflueger designed and built reels it is amazing. Photos that have never been published anywhere, and a presentation reel made only for the U.S. presidents. Unreal treasure trove. Will be interviewing him tomorrow and writing up my findings, so stay tuned. We will get some real insight into how a reel was designed from this gentleman.

I have gotten emails from several former Enterprise employees, so this should lead to some new info on the company and how it worked.

This may help your studies, these are to Pfluger faimly members that still live in the Ashaland County Ohio area , one is ( Jonathan Pfluger )( Optomertrist, 2654 County raod 457 Loudonville Ohio 44842, phone 1-419-994-4806) also Robert W. Pfluger 1-419-281-8030) 2654 Township Road 1045 Ashaland Ohio 44805) Both of these people have been in My tackle shop when i ran it the address was 710 Woster Road Loudonville ohio 44842, that was 9 years ago!
