Help me id old reels "crAck" (France) & "

Post by Linda Wilson »

I recently purchased 3 reels at an estate sale. A Zebco 606 still in the box, appears to be never used. I know that one is not worth much. I cannot find anything on the other 2. One is a "Fix-Reel" marked "Swiss Made". Other markings: Kneubuhler, burgdorf schweiz; Angelgerate-fabrikation. The other is marked: CrAck; Licence P. Maubornge; Bernouville-eure; Made in France-Brevete s.g.d.g. Other markings on the face of the reel read "Serrage - crAck - Desserrage - Made in France". I doubt that either is worth much, but thought it was worth checking when I saw your site. Thanks in advance for your time!

:) 8) :!: :?:  cool-thumb :type:  jump usa , Well Linda, you have a start of a decent colection! as for the 606zebco in the box, hopefuly with the papers, its a $20.00 item if the box is decent, as for the others? Well younglady you will need to get copies of Ben wright,s books Third edition 2002 and his vol 1 2006,if those reels are in decent shape, remember dirt will clean off , iw no broken parts, then the reels likley one of them would have worth of the price of both books! You have picked up a few winners! and the star of a decent colection! They do have value however condition is the key word. If you are not a ORCA Member, may I suggest you go to our membeship page and JOIN ORCA! We have colectors that specilize in reels like yours including BEN WRIGHT, the autor of several books! Take care and Welcome to the fantastic world of REEL COLECTING! Your Ohio Conection On Lake ERIE , Col. Milton Lorens aka SWIM JIG

Thank you for the prompt response! Yes, the Zebco box is in very good condition including the papers. The CrAck is in mint condition. Not a spec of dirt. The Fix-Reel had some paint chipped off and was repainted over in a small area.

I also acquired a wide array of other older fishing tackle including 2 tackle boxes, lures, bobbers, rod holders, etc. etc. Most seem to be from the 60's but there are a few older things there. Not sure of what to do with it yet but thinking about e-bay. If there are any other suggestions, please reply.

Thanks again!
