Bad Bob's "Thought for the Week"

ADVICE TO BEGINNING COLLECTORS:

Four reasons to collect "Low end reels" :

1) They are cheap
2) They are easy to find
2) There are lots of them to choose from
4) There are fewer people who want them

Four reasons to NOT collect "Low end reels" if you expect you may want to sell them someday:

1) They are cheap
2) They are easy to find
3) There are lots of them to choose from
4) There are fewer people who want them

On the other hand, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder and not everyone can afford a big reel budget. Try not to think of collecting as an investment but rather as a challenging hobby (all of which are certain to get more expensive with time!)

:D :) 8) :o   :!:  :type: jump yay-banana usa , the reason I collect low end reels is! I then have the basics for parts, I can make a reel like I want and #3, ifin you folks saw or knew what parts are in those HIGH DOLLAR REELS, most likey you would buy the low end for parts and not worry what the guy next to you is using for fishing! And the FISH DOSENT GIVE HOOT what kind of reel is winding him in as long as the bait taste good! Now whats fun about this I can take that CHEAP REEL, ie! $1.00 and tax , catch a fish twice with it, once the one for my dinner and twice when the person next to me buys my CHEAP REEL for $25.00 and I aint gota reports the proffit on my income tax form! ha ha ha ! Milt-You are too easy on me and use too much logic! I was hoping to stir up some controversy here. Surely no one agrees with me. No one ever does. (Except Jim Wiegner, who is always a gentleman.)

New mantra-"Not all investments can go up in value but all can go down in value". Bad Bob
