A liitle something Santa left for me

Here we have a trolling reel manufactured by the Murphy Manufacturing Company of Windsor,Ont. Canada. First 1 i've ever seen and somewhat hard to find. Never seen 1 at a trade show or on Ebay. I suspect that it was made for trolling Lake Erie or Lake St.Clair, or the Detroit River. Interesting construction with the trigger style handle. Wondering if anyone has seen a similar reel ( Canadian or American ) before. It also came attched to a 3 ft. long metal rod with a spring or coil near the reel end.
