Today's philosophical drivel posted solely as an attempt to preserve the drivel forum:
When the lion lays down with the lamb, it is likely to mean two things:
1) The lion has a full stomach.
2) The lamb hasn't the slightest idea what a lion is.
There has got to be some sort of Aesop-type moral to that related to fishing or fishing reels.

when the Deacon is Walking with the RAM thru the swap meet and passes an Eddie Vom Hofe 9/0 without picking it up:
1) The RAM has the Deacon on a very short leash
and
2) The RAM figured since it wasn't a Pflueger, it wasn't worth picking up.
Moral: Booty is in the eyes of the Beholder.
Oh...have to add another, more succinct candidate:
"Booty is in the eye of the Reelholder"

That "reelholder" bit is cool Deak. How about this:
When the RAM and the Deacon walk by a table with a Vom Hofe 10/0 and neither picks it up, it is likely to mean two things:
1)The Deacon has just finished lunch, ergo has a full stomach like the lion and is sleep walking, hence doesn't even notice the reel.
2)The RAM doesn't have the slightest idea what a Vom Hofe reel is but did notice the price.
Moral: RAMs realize they would get fleeced if they bought Vom Hofe reels.
