Walleye Opener

Post by Tony Malatesta »

:o  Hi Guys! For those of you that are interested, the Walleye season is in full swing up here in Ontario, and the fish are bighting like crazy. I just finished fishing in the Bay Of Quinte and managed to land my limit of fish, all in the 5-8 lbs. category. Literally thousand of people and hundreds of boats are fishing over the weekend and all are having great luck due to the great weather. Best fishery anywhere for lunker Walley. If you can make the trip up here it is worth every cent you spend.
P.S : Can,t show you any pictures as my batteries were dead and i didn't have spares. Take my word for it. FANTASTIC jump yay-banana canadian

Hey Tony, from what I hear the Columbia River walleye eat those 5-8 pounders for desert.

:D Hey! Those were the ones that i caught but there were many 10 lb. + Walleye that were entered in the local tournament. A 14 pounder is currently the leader. Late Oct. and Nov. is when the 20 pounders are caught on downriggers in about 30 ft. of water. A bit cold with surface ice sometimes forming, but worth it.
