It was worth a shot! How about anything from the REDIFOR Rod and Reel Co. from Warren, Ohio?

Thanks!

YOUNGUY,
The THEORY behind the reel, is that you wind a little silk on the left part of the spool, and your casting silk on the right side of the spool. You thumb the left side, so doing, you have no friction on the casting silk. Does not make sense to me, but...the reel won the Casting Championship of France in 1912, according to one of my REDIFOR catalogs. The thumb rest was also a nice touch. The reel is also an automatic freespool, and made from what they called REDIFOR material, an alloy of magnesium.
