Greetings all. I'm a new ORCA member and appreciate the "lurking" I've been able to do in past weeks, what a great forum.

I'm building a Martin fly reel collection, 1950's to mid-70's and would appreciate exchanging info with anyone with a similar interest. Martins are maligned by some but they had a nice consistency of design development during this period and I find the best models are very well-made.

I currently own fifteen Martins mostly boxed mint or excellent, from the humble model 60 "tuna can" through to an MG 72 multiplier. I'm interested in acquiring a fine model 62, a 67N, and a 66 (if it exists- can't find any documentation...). Always interested in other Martins and boxes, papers, ads or other ephemera of this period. No automatics.

Thanks. And can anyone help me out with a list of Martin fly reels from this timeframe? I'm not getting any response from the Martin Company. :bash:

mac, don't have one to help, but you should put a Martin 68 multiplier on your list - IMO, the best-looking reel Martin ever made.

Ron, picked up the #66 for fifteen bucks plus S&H, decent price- thx again. Looks a lot like the 65, but it has the twin line guides, and the double pillars opposite the reel foot to support them.
