Great energy saving idea!!!

Post by RAM »

Why didn't someone think of this before? If Daylight Saving Time really does save energy by moving your clock up 1 hour (next Sunday), then if you set it up 2 hours you will save TWICE the energy!

Write your Congressman today! Earth is heating up! There is no time to waste!

Bad Bob (Would this qualify me for the Nobel Peace Prize? Your vote next year appreciated!)

I for one love daylight savings time. I think we should be on it year round!

Personally I could care less about daylight savings time - - - - Like Jack Bright, I get up when I feel like it and am glad I got up one more day.

Wow, Don...what a luxury that would be! I think I prefer to get to that place by winning the lotto instead of retiring, but guess the latter is more likely, eh? :D

My two hour DST idea has already been shot down by Big Al. He says that if we set the clock up two hours instead of one, it might save more energy, but that extra hour of sunlight will more than offset the savings by exacerbating the global warming problem. So, Dave O., if we have it year round worldwide that extra sunlight in the winter would have the polar ice melting even faster. I'll have to come up with a better idea to win the Nobel. Hmmm! Back later.

Freezing in Nashville waitng for heavy snow tonight. Dang this global warming! Bad Bob

PS: When we set the clock up are we really saving daylight? Inquiring minds want to know!

Bob:

Maybe you can run down to Florida. Last time I was there they had cans of Florida Sun shine just lining the shelves. :D

Imagine how much we'd save by everyone contributing to one less hour of consuming! My solution is to just stay in bed longer with my eyes closed  . Problem is my boss and the rest of the world don't seem to agree with that strategy :D
