1. PENN 1/0 SENATOR – One of those tough to find sizes in the Senator series, this example really sparkles. It has the Counter-balanced Handle, Free Spool, Star Drag and Off/On Click Button. The reel has been used and shows light brassing on pillars and spool, light pitting which has been cleaned and polished. Mechanically near perfect. I’d describe condition as a polished 7/9. Asking $50.
2. PACO No.663 – BIG Spinning Reel, saltwater sized – Anti-Reverse/Click Switch – Shows some finish wear – Front Drag – Looks like a French or Italian design - Works Great. Japan – 7/9 Condition $10
3. SNOP No.3 Modele 46 – Moulinet – France – A MOST UNUSUAL half-bail spinning reel with a very different conical ridged handle knob. Front Drag, a UNIQUE Anti-Reverse/Click Rod that sticks all the way through the reel body from top to bottom – Push at the top to engage, at the bottom to disengage. Shows considerable wear to its green finish and works perfectly. 7/9 Condition $50
4. LANGLEY Model 860 SpinDrift – Open faced spinning reel with automatic anti-reverse and front drag. This one’s Near Mint with very minimal wear to the maroon crinkle finish – Big orange “T” knob on the folding handle - Works Perfectly. $30
5. HARDY ALTEX No 1 Mk II – Parts reel – This once great little spinning reel from England has a broken foot (both pieces here, might be soldered) and a broken spool (a chunk missing) – answers to the name, “Lucky” (just kiddin’ – couldn’t help myself) – crank, body and bail working fine – shows considerable finish wear. $25
6. STUKI – Swiss made open faced spinning with half bail – Has a funny little round drag knob on the handle side of the reel and an “open bail” switch on the rear of the spool housing – Shows quite a bit of wear to the light green finish – Works Fine. 7/9 $30
7. KALAMAZOO Empress No 1689 (Model D) – This bright metallic blue fly reel is flat-out gorgeous and appears NEW, although it has backing on the spool. Made by Shakespeare and housed in its original box (no papers), its box bottom is marked 60 6446, whatever that means. Adjustable Drag and On/Off Click Button. 9.5/10 $75
8. SOUTH BEND Oreno No 815 – Non-levelwind lake or very-light salt water reel – only made 1 year, this well cared-for example is in beautiful condition – very clean – big green wooden knob on the counter-balanced handle, leather thumb brake. Big round orange model disc on rear plate, strong on/off click, “Model A” on bottom of foot. 8.5/10 $75
9. MICROLITE – Here’s a sweet little ultralite spinning reel but not the D-A-M Quick reel we’re all used to – this one is marked South Bend. It’s modern – I bought it at a fishing and boat show just a few years ago. Front Drag. Anti-reverse Switch. Silent running in both modes. Beautifully made, and as I recall, I paid a bunch of U.S. dollars for it and then never used it. Still in 10/10 Condition. $25
10. ABU GARCIA Ambassadeur 6500C – Silver with a black spool, black dual handle and black star drag wheel. Free Spool. Level-wind. On/Off Click. Almost no finish wear and works perfectly. Made in Sweden. Numbers on foot are 84-2 87-88. Condition = 8.5/10 - $80
