Complete library on reel collecting

Post by snoekjaeger »

I am selling ALL my books on reel collecting, decided to put them on Ebay for the ease of it, over 30 titles already placed... A bunch of French (e.g. the series of books by JP Mougin on all the French made casting reels) and Italian language books (the full series on Italian reels by Baraldi), but also some English ones (like Dennis Roberts' Mitchell Collector's Value Guide first edition, book 78... ) :

Some other 7 books I have placed on Tradera, these are mostly English language (on HARDY reels, the Dunkeld collection, ABU Ambassadeur books by Simon Shimomura, the ultra rare (and only) book on ABU RECORD lures, :

Also for sale is the book on Australian Fishing reels by Bob Dunn (including the original first update, and copies of the next 4 updates), I am taking offers for that book, it is in very good condition If I get no offers I will likely place it on Ebay in a few days, you can take your chance there to ofcourse.

Hello Jean-Paul,

I found you Bob Dunn book but can not bid on it, you have it unavailable for United States bids.

Hi, Indeed, since Ebay changed the policy.
Now if you are from Belgium you can only offer items available to the USA when you accept Paypal (same for the UK and some other countries I believe). Or.. how the guys at Ebay make the use of Paypal mandatory and make money twice on the same item...
The book did not sell b.t.w. (did not meet the limit I set).
I had some offers before I put it on Ebay but they changed their mind and said they would take their chances on Ebay (but.. Paypal... etc...).

Hello Jean-Paul,

I use PayPal and it works for me. I know you are correct in saying that EBay gets another fee but I just work that into the cost of doing business. PayPal creates a ease of doing business, especially Internationally and also adds security to the sale. I like it and I feel it brings more bids to my sales but that is me. We all must decide how we are willing to sell and live with it.

I have a friend in Australia and he was not able to bid the book, that is a very important market for your sale. (hint-hint- )

Always a Pleasure,
Mike

The only way I sell international is through PayPal. It costs me more to cash an international MO or bank check than the PayPal fees.
