Col, If thats the smooth, dark green 700 spool I have no use for it. I'm looking for the Z type with the Ogtagon shape drage SYS. early 47-700 spools came two ways, the ones made for the 700, dark green with round drag hole and later blue-green with a drip lip around the Ogtagon drag hole. What do you have.

usa, rocks, I have 2 diferent color green spools however the ony octangon part I see is where the drag washers set in to the spool, out from that is a lip then a raised part and another space then the outer lip! As for a otagon shaft hole all the way thru the answere is NO, its round on the botom side of the spool all the way up to the drag washers! I have other penn spools I will look again this week. Col, As long as the drag set hole is Otagon, thats the type spool I'm looking for, If its a Black or gold 704/706 new spool we have a even trade. If its the blueis green one, I would like $10 plus for my NIB Reel.

usa, those spools are hard to find, I have have just a few of them and still do reel repair! The Ocean Cty is a common one, they make a good Walleye reel on Lake Erie with Power Pro Line on them , the kids have several on the Boat! Like your reel, my spools are new old stock new in the box!Your reel in lawsons 3rd edition is $15.00 no box, add $6.00 for the box and paperwork thus $21.00) I get $27.00 for these spools in old stock brand new! as these are! I also said we each pay our own postage ! Should this be a bit more than you want to get into a new old stock spool, You can call the ROD MAKERS SHOP in Strongsville Ohio at (1-440-572-0400) ask for Frank, he may have some left, or try (Sponskys reel repair in ELMORA PA their phone is (1-814 948-6970) they are closed on weds. and Sundays hrs at the shop are 9AM to 5PM .
