Well, living in Cincinnati we have little to cheer for short of my own near and dear Xavier University basketball team (two elite 8's in five years). But this year, one of my alma maters, the University of Cincinnati, finally broke through to the big time and made a BCS game as the 2008 Big East champions! They beat West Virginia, Rutgers, Pitt, Louisville, and South Florida and played Oklahoma (at OK) very tough for a half before collapsing in the 4th quarter.
So we are going to Orange Bowl, and maybe we'll play BC (I hope for Boise State though).
Congratulations Dr. Todd! So you gonna make the trip out here with the team next weekend? That will be like a bowl game trip itself. Too bad the Bearcats won't be able to relax as much as if it were the end of the season - maybe they can with the real bowl game a ways off.
