Working on My Page.

Post by ReelMan1988 »

I've been doing some researching on making a website and can't find out how it can be made easily. www.oldreels.com how did you make your website? Did you buy software somewere? And how does it get published?

I made a place that seems just fine for my tastes.

John, that website - www.oldreels.com is mine. If you want a space like that you first have to make up a domain name, then check to see if it is available, and then register your name. You then get a company to host your website on their servers, such as GoDaddy, or IPower, where my site and this ORCA site are hosted.

You can then purchase a program to write your website in WYSIWYG form (which automatically changes your written pages to html) or you can learn the html language and write it yourself in html. Since I am computer illiterate my site was written by MS Frontpage, which is no longer being supported by Microsoft, since they have a newer and far more expensive program to sell. There are free programs available that write very nice websites.
