im looking for a penn 9 a penn 109 and a penn 209 that are green please let me know and all i would like to look for some info on penn reels where i can get a collecters guide book on the models of the penn reels please let me know ty kenny

Hello Kenny,

There are no guide books on for Penn reels, you would have to start collecting the catalogs. The green levelwind monofils were only made for one year (1956) and are mentioned in the color green in the number 19 catalog only. That is why they are hard to find. But, many were made because they were being heavily sold to the commercial fleets and used as rentals. They were easy to spot by the mates at end of day collection.

They are available on EBay on a steady basis but they cost more than the normal monofils.
