Auto Observations

Post by RAM »

Probably wrong (as usual) but its just opinion...

Car most commonly having multiple bumper stickers: Subaru Outback

Car less likely to be affordable for the driver: BMW

Two things that will not last forever: Petroleum and Prius batteries

Parkers Law: The distance one must walk from an assigned parking space to his or her work place is inversely proportional to the value of the car.

If Toyoto cannot make a profit on the Prius (they haven't so far) the U.S. Govt. cannot decree that GM will make a profit on a hybrid either, no matter how much money they (we) lend them and expect to have paid back. Result: Expect more loans to be requested or repayment to be postponed.

Bad Bob (not a Prius, Subaru, BMW, or GM owner)

I always knew that about Ford men, but just didn't know how to say it.

A few years ago they conducted a study on wealth in America and discovered more millionaires drove Fords than any other make...wonder if that's changed now?

Here's a "quick" Ford. Zero to 158 mph in 8.6 seconds.

I have two Fords and one Audi TT, and I can run one of the Fords for a year on the cost on one service trip with the Audi. Speaks well for the U.S. made types, and thats Fords for sure.
