I think what you have is a fly reel called the Rolls. I cannot be at all sure, but I think I have that reel (owned by my father) at our family's summer cabin on the Trinity River in northern California. What keyed me into that is the coat of arms, it stuck in my mind. If that is a "Rolls" reel, it is undoubtedly a trade reel made for Herters. Everything Herters sold was "the world's finest" and most of their reels seemed to be made by J. W. Young or DAM and labeled "Rolls". I'd have to go out in the cold and check a Herters catalog to see if the coat of arms is the one George Herter dreamed up for his company.
