Behold! The shop is finally getting cleaned up.

Post by Reel Geezer »

As some of you are aware, I have spent much of the winter cleaning out 30 years accumulation in our steel building. I have sold over 1000 books, gone to a gun show and sold two pickup loads of stuff, hauled three truckloads to the dump, and about 6 loads to our local pet rescue thrift shop. It has finally started to show some bare floor.

I had reserved the back quarter of the building = 12 x 24 feet, for my tackle shop. I have only moved a bit of my collection to this "room" but have organized much of my fishing tackle, lure and rod making stuff in this area. Take a look at the results so far:

If anyone would like one of those large Eagle Claw posters you see on the back wall in the first picture, send me an email (pwhite at oldreels dot com) The back of the poster is all the hooks that Eagle Claw made at the time. I found a tube full of them and I'll give them away, but you pay $5 priority postage.

Nothing but a few Meek & Milams, some slopenose in box, and a bunch of other junk.

Great looking tackle shop! Winter cleaning is much more fun than spring cleaning, because it doesn't take time away from fishing!

Phil:

This is much nicer than I pictured from our phone conversation. You are really an organized person. Where do I sleep?

That is really nice Phil. Do you have heat in there so you can work during the winter?

so this is what youve been doing with all that spare time, shouldnt this have been under "cleaning and restoration" oh and phil if your not too busy this weekend i have a 24x30 steel building that could use a good cleaning out,you can have all the rare antiques that might be hiding in their, but beware i killed a rattle snake in there last year thats why i dont leave the door open anymore. charlie
