This reel is perfect mechanically - tight with strong click. It has a slight right hand bias but could easily be fished left hand wind. It has a repair to the bakelite/hard rubber backplate as you can see from the pictures which is very strong and effects nothing. This has been factored into the selling price. This is a classic fly reel which would be great on a short cane or glass rod. It is also not a bad example if you don't have one in your collection. If desired, you can polish the front plate to look as shiny as backplate. Note: the Bulldog logo is clearer and shinier and also the front plate than the pictures show.
