Bill Peters Information. PLEASE READ!!!!

I just recieved an E-mail from John Seroczynski about our friend Bill Peters. It reads as follows:

ACA members and friends

I'm passing on an E-mail update I just received from Pam Peters which
relates to her father. .
Many times we think we have problems and then we hear about a good friend
struggling to recover from problems worse than our own.

Most of you are either friends of or have heard of Billy Peters one of the
casting sports most colorful, well known, and loved members.
Bill's competitive spirits run strong and his accomplishments and records
are multiple and also include representing the United States and the ACA at
the World Championships.

Billy has just undergone a second very serious back surgery to hopefully
repair a lifetime of back problems which were made even worse by a serious
accident late in 2003.

I've known Bill since I was 10 years old and consider him one of my best
friends. We've cast against each other and we cast as team members at the
All American in Chicago in the 60's because my club (The Hammond Casting
Club) would not allow a non-adult to cast in the team event.
We won that team event (for the Toledo club) and the record of 7 off I
believe still stands today.
I say this to emphasize how close I am to Bill and how well I know him and
his personality. It's that closeness that allows me to know how depressed I
know Billy is feeling while going through his rehab and worrying about his
family and the future.

I'm asking you to take 5 minutes and drop Bill and his family a line of
encouragement and support. He's a long way from being out of the woods but
our support will surely encourage him to better health.

Harvey, thanks for the news on Bill. When he knew I was interested in casting, he graciously took time with a fumbling backlasher like me on the finer points of hitting a target, and I've never forgotten it. I'll send a thank-you/get well card, and I hope he receives it at home. Aside from being a legend in casting, Bill's just a great guy! Jim
