I'm sure it could be hard for some to decide which one it is, but pick the single most favorite reel in your own collection and post a photo of it. Let's see some beautiful pieces :shock:

Your favorite reel? It doesn't even have a handle!

What is it?

Its to hard to pick just one but to me the EVH 621 is one of the most attractive reels ever built. Heres a cheap knock off in the 4/0 size :D

Oh,sorry. It does have a handle. It's just in the case with the tools That reel is a Hardy no. 7 Zane Grey edition. John has been helping me with the research on that reel.

I hope more people post. I would love to see more brands.

The flavor of my favorite today is this Carlton Free Spool Bait Caster. This morning, this reel was a little piggy...however, stripping her down, a soak in the jacuzzi, a lot of rubbing foreplay, a quick polishing of the knob on handle and a squirt of lube and she can almost call herself a virgin again. :shock:

[Ah, sorry for the intrusion...I just crack me up! :D ...let's get this pic out of here and let steve drop in the right one}

Ah, since Richard is doubling up (see below), I'll stick in this other favorite of mine so this won't be total dead air:

nice one John! You must be a Raging Literal.

Might as well post todays favorite, since I am sifting thru Shakespeares. Not super old model HH (1933), but 125 yard size and having the box make this one tough Shake to find. Non-Ferrous finish is also kind of unique.

Thanks, John. Just in the nick of time. It took hours to find the reel and turn it.

Die Cast Pflueger Supreme model for the first tear drop version,1922. This was also the last Supreme with a jeweled endcap on the handle side, close inspection reveals that this one had the jewel ground down so the handle wouldn't hit it (now we know why they dropped using a jeweled endcap on the handle side). This reel was also the Star witness in the later Pflueger/Shakespeare court cast. Shown also is the information tag that goes with this reel. A little piece of history!

Thanks Mike and John ,

That is the reel that was on the H-I rod . When I saw it , it had so much dust on it it could have been any old Penn , I paid the asking price then wiped off the side plate to see what it was as I was walking back to the Jeep .
