i have a 8' 6" metal 4 pc 4 guide telescoping flyrod with a 3 pc cork handle , it has richardson stamped where the reel mounts, with a
triangle around the r . any info would b great !

The Richardson Rod & Reel Co. was based in Chicago and as far as I can tell was in business from the teens to at least the 1950s. They made a lot of steel rods, for which they were noted for many years, and even got into the reel market when they purchased the Talbot Reel Co. (Warren Platt can give much more info on this).

I don't think it would be possible to date this rod without photos of the reel seat, guides, etc.
