PENN INTERNATIONAL MODEL 6 REEL (TRIALED ONCE BY PENN)

Post by BrettCo1245 »

Hello all,

So I am new to the forum and wanted to say hello. And for my first post, I thought I would put up my reel for sale. It is a Penn International Model 6. It was given to me by Herbert Henze, who is the son of the founding father of Penn International. He gave me two. I already sold one, and I decided to let the other one go. We trialed Penn's Products and afterwards were permitted to keep them. So we rigged up the two reels, used both for one day and then I never took them back out of their box. They look brand new and are in immaculate condition.

I have plenty of pictures if anyone wants them. I can take them at any angle asked. No scratches, dings, etc... It is exactly as described. It comes in the original box with the original blue velvet seating it sits on, and original reel lube. Box is in great shape, no bad creases or anything of that sort. Nice and rectangular and clean.

Anyone that is interested may send me their offers on this posting, or if wanting to be private, please send to . I thank you all for reading and I am looking forward to this website very much. I am beginning to refurbish old reels myself and I am getting in to this hobby a whole lot! Thanks again.
:D

Howdy Brett, and Welcome to ORCA's Reel Talk forum! That's a nice looking reel. Herbert H. was a guest speaker at our National Convention at Lake George, NY a few years back. What other reels did you get to test?

Hey and thanks for the welcome! I also have tested (and own - and are for sale haha) two Penn International 12H. I also tested rods, and rare rods from Penn. In fact they are mostly fly fishing rods, all internationals. My favorite was when we tested the Penn International Fly Rod 14 weight, for the big deep-sea fish! Thats going up on eBay this week I believe.

Hello Brett and welcome to ORCA,

Your International 6 looks fantastic, would love to see the pictures of the special rods and the International 12's.

The history of Penn is a very interesting study and it seems you are a piece of it. Great to have you here. yay-banana
