Bogus Second Chance

Post by el Lawrence »

If you have not been touring the ebay part of this website I just wanted to give everyone a "HEADS UP" on bogus second chance offers...

I just got my SECOND one for the AVALON reel that sold a while back...

This new one has a new contact email: .

So you may want to click on the ebay section here and check out the post Brian started on Bogus emails... There is also similar talk over on Joe's Antique Lure chat page... So it seems to be heavy into lures and reels...

Be sure when getting a second chance offer to check it out before clicking any links or responding to email addresses... GO to the origional auction and send a question about the offer to the seller from there...

Again, Never use links in an email that didn't come from someone you know... for all businesses, credit cards, bank accounts, paypal and ebay, log onto the origional site then check to see if anything REALLY needs to be fixed on your account... USUALLY not.

Be safe out there...

if it makes y'all feel any better, I did get a third-chance offer (knew the seller) and bought an excellent Dingley perfect for half of its value.

But scams like this are going all over e-bay. Cane flyrods to autos.
