The reel has aluminum plates, steel screws and the remaining parts ( pillars, spool, foot and handle crank ) are brass. The knob appears to be horn. As engraved on the head-plate, the "White Horse" measures 2" in diameter. While the finish is obviously quite rough, it is good where it counts so the reel spins very well and has an incredibly fine click ...with 42 teeth! What it lacks in finish it more than makes up for in character and cool. The maker is unknown.

Will trade for a tough/early bottle of reel oil or dry fly oil. Will also trade for reels like these:

These reels are English and 2.75" in diameter or smaller. Will trade up/down/even.

Dean.

Dean,

That is a sweet reel. If I had anything you needed I'd trade for it in a heartbeat. I just love pieces like that...

The Doc Oxley you sent has found a nice home (and thanks for the extra, by the way).

Let me know if you decide to sell the White horse.

Since I have received no trade offers, I will sell the reel for $200, shipped. SOLD
