Pfluegers at Milwaukee...Show & Tell (or trade?)

Post by mortepa »

Hey Everyone!
I am bringing a humungous hoard of reels, and will have a LOT of stuff for sale. A little of everything, and a lot of Pflueger.

I had a fun time this week digging in deep to my closet and utility room. It brought back memories of good trades from the past. Found that Shakespeare Meter that Harvey traded me. The Kosmic that Duane Halverson traded me. It's amazing how a simple piece of metal and hard rubber can make a person feel all warm inside. I can still hear Duane saying "hey kid, whatcha got to trade me this year?" As he munched on his sopping wet cigar. :-) It was a tradition, we HAD to make a trade every year at the Milwaukee show.

Anyways, So yeah... I hopefully get a list up here tonight of most of the stuff. I will have some "top ten" Pfluegers that are mostly for trade, but you never know.

I look forward to seeing you all. Lets all plan on meeting at the bar Friday evening after dinner for a few drinks.

See you there,
Paul Mortenson

Ok, the list is too long to itemize. I would guess I am bringing about 150 to 175 reels total. Pflueger, Meek/Horton, Meisselbachs, Perez, Montagues, Heddons, Home-made, and lots more!

This is my condensed Wanted list, but I would enjoy seeing any rare Pflueger you might have:
Akron (German silver, Non levelwind)
Buckeye ( 100 yd)
Four Brothers Celtic
National
Peerless (Pflueger, not Four Bros)
Sea King
Standard
Victor
Wildwood
Worth (100 yd)
Any Prototype or unnusual model

Take care,
Paul
