Need help locating former Zebco / Heddon technician

Post by Freeman Auctions »

Zebco had a technician that rebuilt reels at tackle shows in the 60's, he also early in his career was turning wood blanks for Creek Chub. He would be in his early 70's and is from the Louisville area. He also was very proficient at reducing the weight by almost 50% on Heddon reel spools, this was subcontracted work he performed for Heddon for the casting tournament folks. I would like to contact him if at all possible for some research that were working on. We know alot abourt the work history of this gentleman but can't get a name (or any contact information for obvious reasons).

Thanks in advance for any possible help,

I asked father about this yesterday. He didn't know, but he frequently communicates with Otto Hull via E-mail. Otto used to work the shows (I think during that period). No guarantees, but we're trying.

Just thought I'd let you know that we haven't forgotten about you. I spoke to father over the weekend and he rattled off a list of people whom he has contacted about this. No hits yet, but we think we may know who it is. Father is in the process of contacting him. We'll keep you posted.

Sorry it's taking so long.

There were Zebco employees who worked the shows and there were "contractors". Father has now contacted all of the employees and it wasn't one of them. The person you are looking for was a contractor and no records were kept on that.

Sorry,
Clinton
