No record highs yet Deke. Did have one of the coldest winters on record this year. The record high for each day here all summer is normally 100 or more. Maybe today we will hit a hundred for the first time. Yesterday missed a record by one degree. Another interesting fact. Most of those 100 degree days were decades ago-some a half century ago. That was even before I began to use so much carbon.

Reason for the heat I understand is the jet stream is stuck in a generally straight west to east pattern far north of if its normal summer zone. Then what the heck do I know? I'm just parroting the experts like Al does.

It is, however, far too hot to fly fish my creeks, especially at my age. The big problem in our neighborhood is not the heat, its the fact that we have had only 2 inches of rain since June 1st. All T-showers missed us here. Ten inches of rain officially for June-July (just across town). But we did get 18 inches of rain the first weekend of May! All balances out I am told.
