HARDY PERFECT - Brass Face

Just got these 2 nice Hardy Perfect brass face reels today.
The small one is a 3 1/2" and the larger one a 4 1/4"

Great reels salmonfisher. Can you tell me the number of cusps on the other side of each. I have a 2 1/2" mate to your two that has 11 cusps on it. Interesting.

What do you mean with cusps

Do you know how old your reel is and do you have a picture of it?

The small one 3 1/2" is on the way to a friend in Canada, so I don't have that anymore

Salmonfisher, I am going to try to post two pictures of my BFP.





If these don't show up perhaps John Elder can help me. My reel is an 1896 brass faced Perfect, 2 1/2". The cusps are the cutouts around the edge of the reel spool on the leaded side. I'm curious how many you have on your reel because mine has about 15 cusps (can't remember the exact amount) and I think that is very unusual for such a small reel. Hope that makes sense.
